Review the Chronos Club in the Grand Destino Tower with Randi DeCap

If you have been considering a Club Level stay at Walt Disney World, the Chronos Club at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort just might be the perfect place to start! The Chronos Club is the ONLY club level lounge at WDW that is inside of a Moderate Resort, making it the least expensive of the 10 club level lounges. This review will offer an overview of the Choronos Club lounge, accommodations, food offerings and more!

As a Travel Planner that specializes in Disney Destinations, I am always on the lookout for unique and luxurious experiences to recommend to my clients. One of the best hidden gems that I often suggest is the Chronos Club at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort! Nestled within the vibrant and sprawling Coronado Springs, the Chronos Club offers an elevated Disney experience that combines the magic of Disney with the comforts and exclusivity of a top-tier club.

Discover the Chronos Club

The Chronos Club, located on the 15th floor of the Gran Destino Tower, is an exclusive club level lounge that offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a Cast Member and shown up to the Chronos Club for check in. The concierge staff will greet you by name and give you a welcome packet that includes a resort map and a welcome letter with more information on the lounge and food/beverage service times, as well as perks to staying Club Level.

Due to the fact that Coronado Springs is a Moderate resort, guests will not receive extended evening hours like they would when staying at a Deluxe resort, so that is a slight drawback. But again, you are also saving hundreds by staying here vs any of the other club levels.

Exclusive Club Access

One of the main highlights of the Chronos Club is its exclusive lounge, available only to club level guests. The lounge offers a range of complimentary food and beverages throughout the day, including a delicious continental breakfast, afternoon snacks, evening appetizers and desserts, and a selection of beers, wines, and cordials. The ever-changing menu ensures that there is always something new and exciting to try.

The lounge itself is a tranquil space with plenty of seating options, from cozy nooks to communal tables, making it a great place to unwind, and socialize. You will also find a plethora of board games around the lounge to enjoy some fun family time while still relaxing.

Throughout the day, the club lounge has 5 different food/beverage services to include:

  • Coffee 6:30am-7:00am

  • Continental Breakfast 7:00am-10:30am

  • Light Snacks 11:30am-4:00pm

  • Hors d'oeuvres & Select Beverages 5:00pm-7:00pm

  • Desserts & Cordials 8:00pm-10:00pm

We found the continental breakfast to be to our favorite meal here, followed by hors d'oeuvres, lunch/snacks, then desserts.

There was plenty of food at breakfast to get a substantial meal before heading to the parks. Things we had to choose from for breakfast included: eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, cereals, oatmeal, toast, pastries, bagels, fruit and more! Each day is a little bit different in what they offer, so you're not having to eat the same thing each day!

There is also a specialty coffee maker where you can make your own lattes, or get plain drip coffee, along with a cooler full of tea, soda, milk, juice and water. But the best thing of all?! POG juice! If you have not had POG juice at Disney World, it is a must try! It is a blend of passion fruit, orange and guava juices! Look at this kiddie cocktail that they made with it for my daughter! This specialty juice can be hard to find around Disney property, so having it at your fingertips here is a HUGE win!

For the light snacks mid-day, I like to equate this to a big charcuterie board. There were things like veggies with ranch or hummus, fruits, chips, crackers, cut up uncrustables, meats, cheeses, corn dogs and a few dessert offerings like cookies and Mickey rice krispy treats.

Then the Hors d'eouvres/dinner service consisted of different food offerings such as veggies and dips, gazpacho, chicken, mac and cheese, couscous, tuna, etc. During this service you can also grab a beer, a glass of wine or a cocktail to pair with your meal.

Last but not least was desserts and cordials. During this service, you will find a large spread of desserts along with pour your own liquors, wine and beer. If you ask, you can also get Mickey ice cream bars! My families favorite desserts were the carrot cakes, cupcakes, and s'mores bites!

The club lounge here was definitely the busiest of the ones that I have been to so far, but it was never full and we were always able to find a place to sit. We also never saw the food run out as the staff was constantly re-filling as able.
